Back in 2020, we started as “Lateral Building Management” with one simple goal in mind – to build a building management company that stands out from the crowd, with a relentless focus on operational excellence. Unlike other companies who try to do everything from cleaning to gardening, we knew that we could achieve excellence by sticking to what we do best – building management.
As time went by, our reputation grew, thanks to our unwavering commitment to providing the best service possible. Word of mouth referrals helped us grow organically into the team we are today. Fast forward to 2022 and we took the plunge and rebranded ourselves as Pillar Facilities Management. The new name reflects the strength of our team and the foundation of all great buildings. At Pillar FM, building strong connections with building owners and residents is our passion. We take the time to get to know each person individually and understand their unique needs and circumstances. It’s this personal touch that sets us apart and helps us deliver a service that truly caters to your specific needs.

Meet Justin Elton, the Managing Director and Founder of Pillar Facilities Management!
Justin began managing buildings in 2017 and has loved being a part of an industry where no two days are ever the same. He enjoys genuinely connecting with owners, getting to know them and ultimately sharing in their satisfaction when they achieve their targe
During the lockdown in 2020, Justin found himself with some spare time on his hands and started thinking about creating a business that was more connected and in tune with property owners, one that was less transactional. Thus, Pillar FM was born. Prior to his switch to building management, Justin worked in Operations Management, Sales Management, and Account Management for large corporates.
In his free time, Justin is a self-proclaimed heavy metal tragic and loves watching live music performances. Although he admits his guitar skills aren’t half as entertaining as his favourite musicians, he still enjoys playing his guitar.
As the Managing Director of Pillar Facilities Management, Justin brings his wealth of experience and his passion for creating meaningful connections to his work every day. He’s dedicated to providing the best possible service to his clients and is always looking for ways to improve the business. We’re incredibly fortunate to have him at the helm of our team!

Say hello to Erin Jeffries, the Head of Operations at Pillar Facilities Management!
With a decade of experience in business operations and six years in asset management, Erin brings a wealth of knowledge to our team.
Erin’s specialised knowledge of asset compliance and risk management is nothing short of impressive. With a keen focus on fire systems and plant equipment, she ensures that every asset under our management is in compliance and operating optimally. Her eagle-eyed attention to detail guarantees that no issue goes unnoticed, and she takes proactive steps to prevent potential risks before they become a problem. Thanks to Erin’s expertise, our clients can rest easy knowing that their assets are in capable hands.
One of Erin’s greatest strengths is how she effectively communicates with all stakeholders, from contractors and agents to tenants and owners. Her ability to build and maintain trusted relationships ensures that we are always able to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.
Now, we’re not going to lie – Erin chose not to provide a personal fun fact. But we can tell you that she’s got a great sense of humour and brings a positive attitude to the workplace. We’re thrilled to have her leading our operations and look forward to continuing to provide top-notch service under her guidance.

Introducing Ryan Gardam, our Building Manager here at Pillar Facilities Management!
Ryan’s transition to building management from the hospitality Industry was fuelled by his passion for working with our Founder, Justin. With 24 years of experience in hospitality, Ryan brings a unique perspective to the industry, and he’s already established himself as a valuable and reliable building manager.
Ryan’s expertise lies in building operations, maintenance, and repair, and he’s a pro at identifying and solving issues as they arise. His background in hospitality and service has honed his customer service skills and given him the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
When he’s not busy managing buildings, you can find Ryan exploring Sydney’s culinary scene with his partner or spending time with his adorable pug, Little Leo.
Ryan is dedicated to providing exceptional service to all of his clients and tenants. He’s an efficient building manager and a skilled communicator, always working tirelessly to ensure that all projects are managed to the highest standard. We’re lucky to have Ryan on the team delivering exceptional results for our clients.
