      Building and facilities management involves the maintenance, repair, and management of buildings and their associated facilities. It is important for your property because it ensures that your building is functioning efficiently, is safe and compliant with regulations, and maintains its value over time. We are on site regularly to conduct inspections of our buildings, meet with contractors, assess workmanship, and manage common property facilities.
    • What's the difference between strata management and building management?
      Strata management is the management of a group of owners in a multi-occupancy building or development, while building management focuses on the management and maintenance of the building and its facilities. Strata management includes financial management, meetings, and disputes, while building management includes maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and security services.

      Historically strata management looked after all aspects of a building including back of house administrative duties (accounts, by-law compliance, legislative requirements, insurances etc) as well as front of house duties (such as maintenance, obtaining quotes, engaging with contractors, site inspections). However, as buildings have become larger and more complex, building management have taken over front of house duties. Building managers provide a frequent presence on site and have the skills and knowledge to manage complex on-site systems.
